Teacher Tips & Important Notes
To help make your field trip smooth and memorable, please keep the following in mind:
-
Closed-toe shoes are required for everyone entering the farm.
-
We recommend comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and water bottles.
-
Bring your curiosity! Students will have the chance to safely touch, feed, and learn about our animals.
-
Our farm is outdoors, so please plan accordingly for weather and sun.
-
If rain is forecasted, we will need to reschedule your visit. The farm is not open on rainy days.
-
Please keep in mind, the young piglets will be running around the same area, so you’re able to take photos and videos of them and if you are approached by a piglet you’re welcome to reach out and rub him or her, but we have a strict rule they are not allowed to be chased after, or picked up as this could potentially lead to a piglet being hurt.
